Volunteers Sought for "Lawyers in Libraries" Events in Jefferson Parish
The LSBA needs your help with "Lawyers in Libraries" events during National Pro Bono Week, October 23-28, 2017!! For the past three years, attorneys throughout Louisiana have partnered with local libraries in “Ask-A-Lawyer” events to provide legal inform to individuals who would otherwise not be able to engage an attorney. Volunteers are asked to sign up for a 2-hour period to provide brief individual consultations. Most often, visitors simply need a bit of information or guidance to resolve their questions. LSBA staff members will provide a variety of helpful resources for volunteers to answer questions or refer individuals.

Three libraries in Jefferson Parish are interested in hosting "Lawyers in Libraries" events on Saturday, October 28. These are the only events being offered in Jefferson Parish at this time. We would like to fill each time slot with three attorney volunteers. Help us place a lawyer in these Jefferson Parish libraries!! Click on the link below to view available volunteer shifts. If you have any questions, please contact Nicole Louque at or (504) 619-0106. Volunteer HERE
